Server Rules and Regulations

Owing to the popular demand (no doubt) of Battlefield 2, and for it being the most part a very good game, An unfortunate number of undesireables have crept in, causing a bit of annoyance on one end, and supreme frustration on the other. Some being as simple as importing methods from other games like Unreal tournament, others being altering files to actually change the physics of one game to another, allowing unfair advantage.

There have been many arguments as to the nature of some usage of some of them, and after much discussion and consensus, The Twisted Claw has come up with a list of guidelines for professional playing, and rules for fair play. Every soldier enlisted in the Twisted Claw clan is expected to abide by these at all times, including on other clan's server. It is this highly regarded code of combat that the Twisted Claw distinguishes itself from the rest of the clans. The list will be made a sticky, so it is easily viewable, and may be added on if suggestions are made in the comments section. Next to each Rule/Code of Conduct (it's the code), will be penalties for such actions. Here we go:

#1: No Bunny Hopping, Dolphin Diving, Prone Spamming.
Penalty: Kick after 1st warning
#2: No Foul Language(that includes blasphemy as well!)
Penalty: Kick after 2nd warning, immediate ban after no warning if admin receives abuse for reminding player regarding language rules(believe me, this happens a lot), Admins have full authority on what constitutes an offensive word(this is why 2 warnings are allowed)
#3: No Cartillery
Penalty: Kick after 1st warning, continued offenses by the same player later in any game or by the same team in the same round will result in immediate bans
#4: No Spawn Camping of cappable bases.
This is a funny one, as I don't like using these certain rules. Basically, it goes, if you can capture it, then take it, don't sit outside and kill everyone inside respawning for extra points.
Penalty: Owing to the seriousness of this one, and it's sheer blatancy, and unprofessional type conduct, Ban after 1st warning.
#5: In conjunction with #4, attacking uncappable bases in any way is OK.
Our philosophy on this is, if you're down to one base, and it's uncappable, it's unrealistic and unfair to expect the other team to sit there and wait for a counter attack. I would expect and believe acceptable for uncaps to be artilleried, commander assets to be destroyed, and for people to pick off spawning players. Note: This is only for uncaps. Hanging out and picking off in cappables is wrong.
Penalty: None, though if this privilege is being abused admins will take actions. Kick after 1st warning, if asked to change tactics and admin is ignored.
#6: Statpadding for any reason.
Penalty: Ban after first warning. Statpadding is useless, it really doesn't help your game, and it pulls useful resources away from the fight. Need a virtual badge to feel good about yourself? Find another server. Sorry, we feel strongly about this one and the next one, too.
#7: Cheating with mods, hacks, or exploits.
Penalty: Due to the fact that this is blatant cheating and fully deliberate, there will be an instant ban for life if anyone is caught using this.
#8 No Teamkills, Suicides for vehicles.
Penalty: Because of the constant attention this one receives (I actually thought of this one after I fnished the post, but left it for the time being), and owing to the deliberateness of it, instant ban for this. This also includes running in front of a vehicle and getting killed by it and then punishing for the TK. Basically, vehicles are first come first served, and if you get out of a vehicle, it's anyone's game. My name isn't on a vehicle, and neither is yours.

More will be added as requested by clansmen. We don't like to have to make these rules, but unfortunately because of the way some people play we have no choice. We aren't ban/kick happy, nor do we actually enjoy doing it, but if people are going to play unprofessionally, then we have to do this. Admins have final say in what they deem necessary to curb such behavior, but we are also fair, and feel free to contact us via the comments section if you felt a warn/kick/ban was unfair.

Anyone free Friday night?

I'll be on the server tomorrow around 10:30pm California time, anyone else available at that time to play?

Let me know in the comments.

Getting warmed up

Hello fellow claws! Thought I'd let you guys in on what's going on around here. As my pal L85 already stated, we're a clan with black ops tendencies. This means that our names are not linked to our BF2 Names, so that we can't be identified by any means(please remove all Dogtags...etc).
We believe in a fun game, which means basically that we play fair, and have fun. We try to have as few rules as possible, but unfortunately with a lot of the way people play we have to have some. Feel free to hit our server and have some fun, the rules are posted there.
